What Things are Included in Trailer Hire Agreement?

Trailers are useful in transporting goods and materials. These are robust vehicles that can be used for business or personal purposes. At T G Commercials Self Drive, we offer trailer for hire at competitive prices in Manchester and other parts of the UK. We have carefully sourced our collection of trailers from renowned manufacturers. All of our vehicles are LEZ compliant, which means you can enter London without any hassle. Thanks to our team of professionals, we are able to maintain the trailers to meet the highest standards of specifications. Furthermore, when you rent our trailer, you can also count on our roadside and emergency assistance.

Now, let us move on to more serious topics regarding the trailer rental agreement. Make sure that you go through the agreement properly and understand the terms. These are some of the important things that we include in our trailer hire agreement. If you do not understand any of the points, feel free to contact us.

An assurance that the hirer will use the trailer safely

As per our rental terms, the hirer of our trailer is expected to make use of the trailer in a safe and skilful manner. Also, the hirer must not overload the trailer or speed it. The hirer should acknowledge the proper light and safety chain requirements as stated by the transport authority. Also, it is the responsibility of the hirer to comply with all the regulations, such as the load capacity of the trailer.

Moreover, by signing the agreement, the hirer is guaranteeing to have the ability, skill and knowledge required to carry out the towing and loading of the trailer without any accident or incident.

The hirer will not travel with the trailer on any unsealed road

Unsealed road refers to surfaces that have not been sealed by bitumen. When you hire one of our trailers, you must agree not to tow, load or otherwise travel with the trailer on any kind of unsealed road as that may cause damage to the trailer.

The security of the load is of the hirer

At T G Commercials Self Drive, we are only providing trailers for rent, but the security of the load lies with the hirer. Whatever the hirer decides to transport using the trailer must be secured. Also, the trailer must not be left unattended at any point of time during transit. If there is any loss or damage to the load, it is not our responsibility. So, make sure to properly secure the load using the right tie-down materials.

The rented trailer cannot be transferred to anybody else

Our trailer rental in Manchester is non-transferrable. If you have hired the trailer and signed your name on the agreement, you are responsible for taking care of our trailer. You cannot assign or transfer it to any other party. However, if such a need arises, you must make sure to speak to us and take our consent.

Moreover, the hirer cannot sell, mortgage, make an offer for sale or underlet the trailer. This is because the hirer is not in possession of the trailer. The hirer has rented the trailer from us to use it for a specific period of time. As ownership of the trailer belongs to us, the hirer cannot earn any kind of interest. If you are hiring our trailer or any of our commercial vehicles, remember that only you can drive the vehicle.

So, these are a few of the things that you will find in a trailer rental agreement. We will also ask to see your driving license as our vehicles for hire are all self-driven. If you do not have a license, we will not be able to rent out any of our vehicles to you.

Check out our fleet of trailers and make your choice. Whilst our trailers are insured, you will be responsible for freight and such other changes. All the additional expenses that you might incur when on the road will be borne by you. If you are ready to rent a trailer, do not hesitate to contact us. Tell us for how long you need the trailer and we will draw up the trailer rental agreement for you to sign.
